How to Use Your Pu-erh Tea Pick
To use your Pu-erh tea pick, firmly hold your cake and simply insert the pick horizontally about 1” into the side of the cake. Now, gently pry away the desired leaves, gather them up in a single cup or pot, and use them in your tea.
It is important not to insert the pick vertically downwards or in the direction of your hand. The pick is meant to loosen the leaves slightly, not cut the leaves away from the cake completely, so you will need to use your hands to help a little.
