Denong Tea Pu-erh Pick
Pu-erh Tea Pick
Whether you’re a first time Pu-erh drinker or you’re already familiar with the process of breaking tea, Denong Tea’s handmade Pu-erh tea pick is the perfect tool for you. Using a delicate tea pick is the ideal way to separate the desired leaves from the cake—without damaging the leaves or breaking the tea cake.
Tea Pick Details
The handle of our 6” tea pick is made of wood and engraved with elegant Chinese writing. The edge of the pick is adorned with a colorful thread to enhance your grip and comfort. The pick is made of durable, anti-rust stainless steel and has a plastic cap to minimize accidental scratches and nicks.
How to Use Your Pu-erh Tea Pick
To use your Pu-erh tea pick, firmly hold your cake and simply insert the pick horizontally about 1” into the side of the cake. Now, gently pry away the desired leaves, gather them up in a single cup or pot, and use them in your tea.
It is important not to insert the pick vertically downwards, or in the direction of your hand. The pick is meant to loosen the leaves slightly, not cut the leaves away from the cake completely, so you will need to use your hands to help a little.
