Denong's Most Popular Teas of 2016

Now that we're a month into the new year, we at Denong Tea feel compelled to look back at the year behind us. Although 2016 was a difficult year for many people, it was nevertheless a great year for tea. As we head into the rest of the 2017, here are our five most popular teas of 2016:

This crisp, vegetal tea is a favorite among those tea lovers looking for a bright, savory tea. Made from tea trees that are over 300 years old in the Xishuangbanna region of Yunnan Province, this young Pu-erh tea will bring you energy and freshness on a daily basis. The aptly named Enchanting Beauty has been well sought after, mostly due to its delicate and floral character and rich returning sweetness. Made from trees over 200 years old in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, we predict that this exquisite tea will be only become more in-demand as the years go by. Learn more here.

For those with a preference for the classic taste of aged ripe Pu-erh, this popular tea just hit the spot. With a refreshing flavor and light but distinct Ginseng scent, our 2005 Ginseng Scent Ripe provides a unique drinking experience every time. At the 2016 LA Tea Festival last December, this was definitely our most popular tea. Learn more here.

There's something about wild leaf tea that piques the curiosity of tea drinkers. When a tea has wild roots but maintains a smooth, clean flavor profile, it's sure to be popular. Unsurprisingly, this healthy tea was our best selling tea at the 2016 Green Festival Expo. Read more here.

At the 2016 LA Tea Festival, many tasters remarked that this was perhaps the best black tea they'd ever had. We certainly don't disagree. This remarkable tea comes from the same ancient tea trees that we source our Pu-erh from, and as such has as much mellow complexity of one of our finest Pu-erh teas. Learn more here.
