A Taste of Time
Elegance of Time is sourced from the Xishuangbanna region of the Yunnan mountains in China. The blend is particularly rare, as it comes from the early years following the discovery of Ripe Pu-erh tea.
With a rich history that dates back to the early 20th century, the Menghai Factory was a trailblazer for modern Pu-erh tea production and fermentation. Its age is visible and equally appealing as its taste. The 30 year aging process has introduced cracks to the cake’s body, an indication of authenticity.
Brewing Your Authentic Pu-erh Tea
You should pick out 3 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. After bringing water to a boil, rinse the tea leaves for a few seconds to wake the tea from its deep sleep and to remove any impurities.
Your first brew should last for 10 seconds, while your second brew only 5 seconds. Every brew after this should increase by 5 seconds each time.
