While Pu-erh tea is our premier product, we cater to many tastes and carry a number of tea varieties, including loose black tea. Our superior loose leaf black teas are harvested in the same way that we harvest our Pu-erh tea: from ancient tea trees in Yunnan province. This delectable black tea is made from trees that are between three hundred and five hundred years old.
The 2016 Black Tea we’ve created has a sharp flavor profile and light caffeination, ensuring an energizing brew best suited for early mornings. Loose black tea leaves are far more oxidized than our other teas, causing them to develop a dark, chocolate hue.
How to Brew
Bring your water to a boil, then measure 2-3 grams of loose black tea leaves per 6 ounces of water, and place the leaves directly in a teapot or cup. After rinsing the tea and warming the cup, you can steep the tea for 5 seconds and enjoy. For each subsequent brew, add another 5 seconds of steeping time. Your steeping time will vary based on your flavor preferences, the temperature of the water, and the amount of tea, but it’s not unusual for our black tea to last for 10 to 20 infusions.
Milk, Honey, lemon, or other natural ingredients can be used to enhance the flavor of our black tea. However, we recommend that you experience the raw flavor of the tea leaf at least once.
Since it is uncommon for us to create black tea, the 2016 Denong Black Tea is a limited collection. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to try an exclusive black tea before we run out. Shop with Denong Tea today.
