2015 Early Spring Harvest Elegant Tranquility Raw Pu-erh
Picked from trees between 100 and 200 years of age, this elegant tea reflects the lengthy heritage of its harvest grounds in Lincang, Yunnan. Some of the tea trees in this area are thousands of years old, like the world’s oldest cultivated tea tree: a 3,000 year old tree located in Jinxiu village.
The trees we harvest our tea leaves from echo this history, maturity, and age with similar flavor profiles and aromas.
Brewing Your First Cup
Use a Pu-erh pick to gently separate 3-5 grams of tea leaves for every 6 ounces of water you’re boiling. Bring your water to boiling point, then let it cool to 185°F and rinse your tea leaves for several seconds to revive the tea and cleanse it of impurities.
Let this elegant tea steep in the heated water for only 10 seconds before drinking. The second brew should last for 5 seconds. For each infusion thereafter, increase the brew time by 5 seconds.
