A Legendary Market
The Kunming tea market has been a thriving center for tea commerce for generations. Up to 1,000 shops and stalls line the streets, allowing shoppers to discover an array of diverse Pu-erh varieties. Anyone who travels through the market will enjoy a buffet of teas that is a delight to the palate.
Brewing Your Kunming Tea
Use a pick to remove 3-5 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. After bringing your water to a boil for 10 seconds and warming your teapot, rinse your tea leaves briefly to remove impurities and enhance the flavor. To begin brewing, let your tea steep for 10 seconds. On your second brew, let the tea steep for 5 seconds. Each subsequent brew should last for 5 seconds more than the last.
